Pre workout caffeine boost

There’s this dude on the internet called Kali Muscle. Big black guy from LA. A bit of a character.

He has this thing called hyphy mud. The name makes it sound more exciting than it is, believe me. It’s actually just 1 or 2 scoops of coffee in a cola drink.  Yeah sounds disgusting I know. However, it’s not that bad that you can’t smash it down.

What is exciting is the results it brings when you train. I don’t know what it is about this particular combination, but within 15 minutes of ingesting it you are buzzing.

Then it’s workout time. What does is improve every lift by maybe 5 or 10 kilos (that’s 10 or 20 pounds to Americans).

I kid you not here. Maybe last week without this you were doing 125 Kilos (work it out for yourself America – 1 Kilo = 2.2 pounds) on bench press for 5 reps. This week you may be doing 130 or even 135 kilos for 5.

At lower weights what is noticeable is that you can simply do more reps. With a weight you can normally do 12 reps with you are do 17 instead.

Also you may find you have a capacity to do more sets. I often find that the work capacity I have goes through the roof.

What this adds up to is a workout with more sets and more reps and more weight – in other words, more progress.

And another thing – caffeine consumption prior to workouts has been found to lower post exercise soreness by 48 per cent.

Don’t ask me how it works. I have absolutely no idea what the mechanism is. All I know is that it gets results. I really don’t care if something is scientific or not. I care if it works. That’s all.

Is it a placebo? I seriously doubt it. Why? Because I am not a placebo sort of a guy. I am the guy who takes a placebo and goes.. “Yeah, when’s it supposed to work?”.

As I said. When I do it, I can do more weight for for more reps. That to me is enough for me to keep doing it.

Anyway you want to really progress in your workouts just try it yourself. It will either work for you or it won’t. But I doubt that it won’t.
